
Garlic and Herb Croutons
Crunchy and flavorful croutons infused with garlic and herbs, perfect for salads, soups, or snacking.
Ingredients
- 4 slices of day-old bread cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp paprika optional
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, paprika (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add the bread cubes to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the seasoned oil mixture.
- Spread the coated bread cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking tray.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, tossing halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Let the croutons cool completely before using or storing in an airtight container.
