
Spicy Ezme (Tomato and Spiced Vegetable Dip)
A flavorful and spicy Turkish dip made with fresh tomatoes, peppers, and aromatic spices, perfect for serving with pita bread or vegetables.
Ingredients
- 2 large ripe tomatoes finely chopped
- 1/2 red bell pepper finely chopped
- 1/2 cucumber finely chopped
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1-2 green chilies finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the tomatoes, red bell pepper, cucumber, onion, and green chilies.
- Add the olive oil, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and drizzle with extra olive oil if desired.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
