
Grilled Tuna and Avocado Salad
A light and refreshing salad featuring perfectly grilled tuna steaks and creamy avocado, served with fresh greens and a zesty dressing.
Ingredients
For the Tuna
- 2 tuna steaks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
For the Salad
- 2 ripe avocados sliced
- 4 cups mixed greens lettuce, spinach, arugula
- 1 cucumber sliced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
- 1/4 red onion thinly sliced
For the Dressing
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brush the tuna steaks with olive oil and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the tuna for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare or to your desired doneness. Let it rest and then slice.
- In a large salad bowl, combine mixed greens, avocado slices, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and red onion.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and black pepper to prepare the dressing.
- Arrange the grilled tuna slices on top of the salad and drizzle with the dressing.
- Serve immediately.
