Turkish Bakery-Style Soft Bread Rings

Soft, buttery, and flaky rings, a classic Turkish bakery favorite.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 200 ml milk warm
  • 100 ml vegetable oil
  • 50 g butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg white for dough, yolk for brushing
  • For topping: Sesame seeds or black cumin seeds

Instructions
 

  • Combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl. Make a well in the center, add milk, oil, and egg white, and knead into a soft dough.
  • Cover the dough and let it proof for 1 hour.
  • Divide the dough into equal portions, flatten each piece, spread melted butter inside, roll it up, twist, and shape into rings.
  • Place the rings on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, brush with egg yolk, and sprinkle with sesame or black cumin seeds.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes until golden brown.
