- 1 ready-made pie crust
- 150 g bacon diced
- 1 cup grated Gruyère or Swiss cheese
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg optional
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the pie crust in a tart pan and blind bake for 10 minutes.
In a pan, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Drain excess fat and set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, milk, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
Spread the cooked bacon evenly over the baked crust. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese, ensuring even distribution.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until the filling is set and the top is golden brown. Let it cool slightly before slicing.
