Quesadilla (Cheese and Filled Tortilla)
A versatile and delicious Mexican dish, quesadillas are made with crispy tortillas filled with melted cheese and optional ingredients like chicken or vegetables, served with flavorful dips.

- 4 large flour or corn tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or mozzarella
- 1 cup cooked chicken beef, or vegetables (optional)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil or butter
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil or butter.
Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle half of it with shredded cheese and your choice of filling. Fold the tortilla over to cover the filling.
Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
Slice each quesadilla into triangles and serve hot with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
