Potato and Cheese Croquettes
Golden and crispy croquettes filled with creamy mashed potatoes and melted cheese, perfect as a snack or appetizer.

- 3 medium potatoes peeled and boiled
- 100 g shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika optional
For Coating:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Mash the boiled potatoes with butter, salt, black pepper, and paprika until smooth. Let the mixture cool slightly.
Take a small portion of the potato mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a small amount of cheese in the center and roll into a ball or cylinder shape, ensuring the cheese is fully enclosed.
Roll the croquette in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 180°C (350°F). Fry the croquettes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
