Orange Sauce Chicken Breast

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Orange Sauce

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger optional

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and keep warm.
  • In the same skillet, add orange juice, orange zest, honey, soy sauce, and optional ginger. Stir and bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coat with the sauce, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve warm with rice or vegetables.
