Olive Oil Bread
Flavored with the rich aroma of olive oil, this soft bread is a perfect accompaniment to your meals.

- 500 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 packet dry yeast 7 grams
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1.5 cups warm water
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary or thyme optional
Sift the flour into a large bowl, add the salt, and mix.
Dissolve the dry yeast and sugar in warm water and add to the flour.
Add the olive oil and optional rosemary or thyme, kneading the dough until smooth. Cover and let rise for 60 minutes.
Knead the dough again, shape into a round loaf, and place on a parchment-lined baking tray. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Dust the top lightly with flour or brush with olive oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 25-30 minutes.
Remove from the oven, let cool, and slice to serve.
