Mini Cheese Pastries

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg reserve yolk for brushing
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
For the Filling:
- 100 g feta cheese or any soft cheese crumbled
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley optional
For Garnish:
- 1 egg yolk for brushing
- 1 tsp sesame seeds or nigella seeds
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together yogurt, vegetable oil, egg, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
In a separate bowl, mix the crumbled cheese with parsley for the filling.
Divide the dough into small portions (about the size of a walnut) and flatten each into a small disc.
Place a spoonful of the cheese filling in the center of each disc, fold, and pinch the edges to seal.
Arrange the pastries on the prepared baking tray. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame or nigella seeds.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving.
