Ingredients
For the Meatballs

ground beef
medium-fat

onion
grated
1
garlic clove
grated

cup
breadcrumbs

egg
1
teaspoon
salt

black pepper

cumin

tablespoon
parsley
finely chopped
For the Tomato Sauce

tablespoons
olive oil
2
garlic cloves
minced
2
cups
grated tomatoes
1
tablespoon
tomato paste
1/2
teaspoon
dried oregano
1/2
teaspoon
sugar
Salt and black pepper
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix all meatball ingredients and form into walnut-sized balls.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly brown the meatballs for 3-4 minutes on each side.
In a separate pot, heat olive oil and sauté the garlic for 1 minute.
Add the grated tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Place the meatballs into the tomato sauce and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
Serve hot.
