Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
Garnish with paprika and fresh parsley if desired.
Serve with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
