- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts e.g., almonds, walnuts
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
- 1/4 cup dried fruits e.g., raisins, cranberries
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips optional
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine oats, chopped nuts, dried fruits, and salt.
In a small saucepan, heat honey, peanut butter, and vanilla extract over low heat, stirring until smooth.
Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it down firmly.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
