For Dumplings:
- 200 g ground pork or shrimp
- 1/2 cup cabbage finely chopped
- 1 green onion chopped
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 20 dumpling wrappers
For Bao Buns:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tsp yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
Optional Additions:
- Spring rolls
- Shrimp siu mai
- Egg tarts
Mix pork or shrimp, cabbage, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. Place a spoonful of filling in each dumpling wrapper. Fold and seal tightly. Steam for 10 minutes.
Combine flour, yeast, sugar, and water to form a dough. Let it rise for 1 hour. Shape into small balls, flatten, and add a filling of choice (e.g., barbecue pork). Steam for 12 minutes.
Arrange a variety of Dim Sum items on a platter or in bamboo steamers. Serve hot with soy sauce, chili oil, or hoisin sauce for dipping.
