Barbecue Sauce Beef Roast

Tender beef roast slow-cooked in a rich barbecue sauce for a flavorful meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg beef roast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

For the Barbecue Sauce

  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/3 cup beef stock
  • 2 teaspoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
 

  • Rub the beef roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear the roast on all sides until golden brown.
  • Preheat the oven to 160°C (325°F).
  • In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, beef stock, honey, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the roast.
  • Cover the roast tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 2.5 hours, until the meat is tender.
  • Baste the roast with the sauce occasionally during cooking. Slice and serve warm with the sauce.
