Asian-Style Sesame Tofu Vegetable Stir-Fry

A light and flavorful dish made with sesame oil, fresh vegetables, and tofu.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g tofu cubed
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 carrot thinly sliced
  • 1 zucchini sliced into strips
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • For garnish: Sesame seeds and chopped green onions

Instructions
 

  • Toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch and set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining sesame oil. Sauté the garlic and ginger for 1 minute.
  • Add the carrots, red bell peppers, zucchini, and broccoli. Stir-fry the vegetables until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour the soy sauce, honey, and chili flakes over the vegetables and mix well.
  • Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and toss everything to coat evenly.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.
