
Shrimp and Basil Pasta
A light pasta dish with tender shrimp, fresh basil, and a flavorful olive oil-based sauce.
Ingredients
- 300 g spaghetti or linguine
- 300 g shrimp peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
- Salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and optional red pepper flakes and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and cooked through.
- Stir in chicken broth and lemon juice, simmering for 2-3 minutes.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet and mix well. Add fresh basil leaves and cook for 1 more minute.
- Optional: Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve warm.
