Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 kg beef ribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar or red wine optional
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

Instructions
 

  • Rub the beef ribs with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, thyme, and smoked paprika.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and sear the ribs for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  • In a slow cooker, combine the chopped onion, minced garlic, beef stock, balsamic vinegar, and tomato paste. Stir to mix.
  • Place the seared ribs on top of the mixture in the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours until the meat is tender and easily falls off the bone.
  • Carefully remove the ribs and serve warm with the cooking juices.
