
Carne Asada (Grilled Steak)
Carne Asada is a flavorful and smoky Mexican dish featuring marinated and char-grilled steak, often served with sides like tortillas, salsa, and grilled vegetables.
Ingredients
- 500 g flank or skirt steak
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving:
- Lime wedges
- Fresh cilantro
- Tortillas salsa, and grilled vegetables
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix orange juice, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat the steak with the marinade and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over high heat. Cook the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust to your desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
- Serve hot with lime wedges, fresh cilantro, and your choice of sides.
