
Classic Margherita Pizza
A traditional Italian pizza topped with fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and a crispy thin crust.
Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 200 g fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Fresh basil leaves optional, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and place it on a baking tray or pizza stone.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Arrange the mozzarella slices on top and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Slice and serve hot.
