Classic Margherita Pizza

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 200 g fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and place it on a baking tray or pizza stone.
  • Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  • Arrange the mozzarella slices on top and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Slice and serve hot.
