
Quesadilla (Cheese and Filled Tortilla)
A versatile and delicious Mexican dish, quesadillas are made with crispy tortillas filled with melted cheese and optional ingredients like chicken or vegetables, served with flavorful dips.
Ingredients
- 4 large flour or corn tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or mozzarella
- 1 cup cooked chicken beef, or vegetables (optional)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil or butter
For Serving:
- Salsa
- Guacamole
- Sour cream
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil or butter.
- Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle half of it with shredded cheese and your choice of filling. Fold the tortilla over to cover the filling.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
- Slice each quesadilla into triangles and serve hot with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
