
Miso Soup (with Tofu and Wakame)
A traditional Japanese soup, Miso Soup features a savory miso-based broth with tofu, wakame, and scallions for a comforting and nutritious meal.
Ingredients
- 4 cups dashi stock
- 3 tbsp miso paste white or red
- 1 cup tofu cubed
- 2 tbsp dried wakame rehydrated
- 2 scallions sliced
Instructions
- Heat dashi stock in a pot over medium heat. Bring it to a gentle simmer but do not boil.
- Dissolve miso paste in a small amount of hot dashi stock in a separate bowl. Gradually return the dissolved miso to the pot.
- Add tofu cubes and rehydrated wakame to the pot. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to warm the ingredients.
- Garnish with sliced scallions and serve immediately.
