
Caprese Salad (Mozzarella, Tomato, and Basil)
A simple and refreshing Italian salad made with fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and fragrant basil leaves, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
- 2 large ripe tomatoes sliced
- 200 g fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic glaze optional
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Arrange alternating slices of tomato and mozzarella on a serving plate, slightly overlapping them.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
- Drizzle olive oil evenly over the salad.
- Add a drizzle of balsamic glaze if desired.
- Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Serve immediately.
