
Baked Stuffed Bell Peppers with Ground Meat and Cheese
Savory and hearty bell peppers filled with a delicious mixture of ground meat and cheese, baked to perfection for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 4 large bell peppers tops cut off and seeds removed
- 250 g ground beef or lamb
- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 onion diced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Add the ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the cooked rice and remove the skillet from heat.
- Stuff the bell peppers with the meat and rice mixture, packing it tightly.
- Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and top each with shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
