Ingredients
- 250 g halloumi cheese cut into sticks
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs use gluten-free if needed
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper optional
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil for frying
- Fresh parsley for garnish optional
- Dipping sauce optional, such as yogurt or sweet chili sauce
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each halloumi stick into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to coat all sides evenly.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the halloumi sticks and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden and crispy.
- Remove the cheese sticks from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
