
Homemade Granola Bars
A delicious and nutritious granola bar made with oats, nuts, and honey, perfect for a healthy snack or breakfast on the go.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts e.g., almonds, walnuts
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
- 1/4 cup dried fruits e.g., raisins, cranberries
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips optional
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine oats, chopped nuts, dried fruits, and salt.
- In a small saucepan, heat honey, peanut butter, and vanilla extract over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it down firmly.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
