
Cheese and Olive Puff Pastry Sticks
Crispy and golden puff pastry sticks filled with cheese and olives, perfect for a quick savory snack.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry thawed
- 50 g shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 30 g black or green olives finely chopped
- 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds optional, for garnish
- 1 tsp dried oregano or thyme optional, for flavor
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese and chopped olives evenly over one half of the pastry sheet.
- Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and gently press to seal.
- Cut the pastry into 1.5 cm wide strips. Twist each strip gently to form a spiral.
- Place the twisted sticks onto the prepared baking tray. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds and dried oregano, if desired.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
