
Orange Sauce Chicken Breast
Juicy chicken breast cooked in a sweet and citrusy orange sauce for a refreshing twist.
Ingredients
For the Chicken
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Orange Sauce
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger optional
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, add orange juice, orange zest, honey, soy sauce, and optional ginger. Stir and bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coat with the sauce, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve warm with rice or vegetables.
