
Barbecue Sauce Beef Roast
Tender beef roast slow-cooked in a rich barbecue sauce for a flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef roast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
For the Barbecue Sauce
- 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/3 cup beef stock
- 2 teaspoons honey or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Rub the beef roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear the roast on all sides until golden brown.
- Preheat the oven to 160°C (325°F).
- In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, beef stock, honey, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the roast.
- Cover the roast tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 2.5 hours, until the meat is tender.
- Baste the roast with the sauce occasionally during cooking. Slice and serve warm with the sauce.
