
Asian-Style Sesame Tofu Vegetable Stir-Fry
A light and flavorful dish made with sesame oil, fresh vegetables, and tofu.
Ingredients
- 300 g tofu cubed
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 red bell pepper sliced
- 1 carrot thinly sliced
- 1 zucchini sliced into strips
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes optional
- For garnish: Sesame seeds and chopped green onions
Instructions
- Toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining sesame oil. Sauté the garlic and ginger for 1 minute.
- Add the carrots, red bell peppers, zucchini, and broccoli. Stir-fry the vegetables until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour the soy sauce, honey, and chili flakes over the vegetables and mix well.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and toss everything to coat evenly.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.
