Avocado & Turkey Club Sandwich

A hearty sandwich made with avocado, turkey slices, vegetables, and whole grain bread.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices whole grain bread
  • 200 g sliced turkey breast
  • 1 large avocado
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 2 medium tomatoes thinly sliced
  • 4 slices low-fat white cheese or mozzarella
  • 4 teaspoons light mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Mash the avocado and mix it with lemon juice, adding a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  • Lightly toast the bread slices.
  • Spread one teaspoon of light mayonnaise on each slice of bread.
  • For the first layer, add a lettuce leaf, avocado spread, turkey slices, and cheese onto a slice of bread.
  • Place another slice of bread on top and repeat the layering.
  • Finish with tomato slices and top with the last slice of bread.
  • Cut the sandwiches diagonally and secure with a toothpick before serving.
